Enfoca ("we", "us", or "our") operates the website enfo.ca and publishes desktop and web applications (collectively, the "Services"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
By using our Services you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our Services.

Information we do not collect
- block Our desktop applications (including Markdown Editor by ENFOCA) are local-first. They do not phone home, collect telemetry, or transmit any user data. All documents you create, edit, or store remain entirely on your machine.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We do not send marketing emails unless you explicitly opt in.
3. Third-party services
We rely on a small number of trusted service providers to operate our business:
| Provider | Purpose | Data shared |
|---|---|---|
| Stripe | Payment processing | Email, billing details, payment card (directly to Stripe) |
| Vercel | Website hosting | IP address, request logs (standard web server logs) |
| Fly.io | API and backend hosting | API request data required for product delivery |
| Zoho Mail | Transactional email | Recipient email, message content |
Each provider processes data under their own privacy policy. We select providers that maintain industry-standard security practices.
4. Cookies and tracking
Our website uses essential cookies only — small identifiers required for checkout session continuity and Stripe payment processing. We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or third-party analytics platforms such as Google Analytics.
You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though this may prevent checkout from working correctly.
5. Data retention
We retain your purchase records and email address for as long as necessary to fulfill our contractual obligations (product delivery, support, and refund eligibility). Transaction records may be kept longer to comply with tax and accounting regulations.
Anonymized analytics data is retained indefinitely. Support correspondence is retained for up to 24 months after the last interaction.
You may request deletion of your personal data at any time (see Your Rights below).
6. Data security
We protect your data using:
- lock HTTPS encryption on all web traffic.
- lock PCI-compliant payment processing through Stripe (card data never touches our servers).
- lock Access controls and environment-variable isolation on backend infrastructure.
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your rights
Regardless of where you are located, you have the right to:
- visibility Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- edit Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- delete Deletion — ask us to delete your personal data, subject to legal retention obligations.
